1) What is $urvivor?
$urvivor™️ is a unique Online Reality Game (ORG) series that was founded in 2007 at ezboard and brought over to Discord in January 2018. 17 official games (aka $easons) have been hosted on Discord so far and we are currently casting for a new group of players to take part in our 22nd $eason which is scheduled to start in April 2022.
Its fundamental game format is based on the greatest Reality TV show - Survivor. What sets $urvivor apart is the use of game money to bid for immunity and advantages throughout the whole game. It adds a layer of duplicity that did not exist before in other Survivor ORGs (until Survivor 40 also brought in the currency element into their game in early 2020).

2) I'm intrigued. Tell me more about how the money system works?
At the start of the game, each player is given an equal sum of game money that they will be spending to win immunity challenges. Throughout the entire duration of the game (usually for about 39 days), the players keep track of the balance of their own money, which is not revealed to other players. They also have to keep a strategic balance between ensuring safety in the short term and saving up money for future rounds. If they spend more to help their tribe win immunity at the early stage of the game, they will have less money left to win themselves individual immunity later on. Money owned by a player cannot be transferred to or from other players in the post-merge portion of the game unless there is a twist or a challenge that requires transfer of money between players.
3) Is there a way I can gain or lose money in the game?
Generally, your money gets depleted as the game progresses because in most immunity challenges, you will be required to spend at least $1 and you lose whatever you spend even if you do not end up winning immunity. Occasionally, there may be one or two challenges that offer cash reward. Another possible way to gain money is through our staple legacy twist where each eliminated player up to the Final 5 round will get to give a certain amount of money to some of the remaining players. The details of the legacy twist vary from $eason to $eason.
4) Are there any non money-based immunity challenges?
99% of the challenges in $urvivor involve the money element in one form or another. Hence we call this series $urvivor (commonly pronounced as "Dollarvivor").
5) What happens if I run out of money in the game?
In this game, money represents your life. It's player's responsibility to manage their health and wealth in the game. If a player runs completely out of money before Final 4, they will be removed from the game.
6) How are idols hidden in $urvivor?
Idol system in $urvivor has been evolving. In the first two $easons, we simply had an idol grid system where you could spend extra money to bid for clues / make more guesses. In $eason 3 and 4, they were hidden at Treasure Island. In $eason 5, we had only one idol available in a silent auction. For $eason 6 and 7, there were public idol clues planted in public channels for those who were observant enough to notice them. From $eason 8 to $eason 14, private idol clues were given out to those who got to visit the themed location of the $eason to solve codes and/or perform secret tasks. A new idol system was introduced in $eason 15 and has continued to be used since then.
7) What is Majority Tax or Minority Handout?
A majority tax of a fixed amount will be charged to each player who voted in the majority at tribal council (up to a certain round as announced at the first tribal council of the $eason). In a tribal that resulted in a deadlock tie, no one would be taxed. Also, no majority tax would be applied at any tribal council where at least one real hidden immunity idol was played, regardless if the idol play was effective or not.
On the flip side, minority handout is at play in some $easons, instead of majority tax, where players who voted in the minority receive a fixed amount of money as handout.

8) How many players get to present theIr games to the jury at the Final Tribal Council (FTC)?
The answer is 2 or 3 and it's not up to production. It's another unique feature of $urvivor whereby the player voted out at the Final 4 Tribal Council will get to decide if 2 or 3 players will be facing the jury at FTC. Everyone should know that this is a standard end game format used in every single season of $urvivor.
9) Anything else I should know? Who should I approach if I have more questions?
Remember to have fun. At the end of the day, these games are created for you to have fun. There is no real prize being offered to the winner. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact one of the friendly hosts in our Discord $erver. Thank you for reading. = )
